Pre-Retirement Days

Pre-Retirement Seminars are sponsored by the Maine Education Association in conjunction with the MEA-Retired.  The purpose of these informational meetings is to inform MEA members, who intend to retire within five years, of the retirement options available to them through MEA Benefits Trust/ Anthem BC/BS, the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Social Security, and MEA.  Information will be provided that should help those who participate in these pre-retirement days in doing the necessary planning to prepare for a smooth transition from school employment to retirement. 

To register for one of the pre-retirement seminars, e-mail Peg Belanger at pbelanger@nea.org.   Registrations will be taken on a first-registration basis and will cease ten (10) days prior to each seminar.

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER IN ORDER TO ATTEND

Enrollment is limited to 75 at each session so be sure to register early.

Saturday, October 16, 2010, 9am - 12 pm – Kennebunk

Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 4-7 pm – Brunswick

Wednesday, February 23, 2011, 4-7 pm – Rockland

Wednesday, March 2, 2011, 4-7 pm – Waterville

Saturday, March 19, 2011, 9 am -12 pm – Skowhegan

Wednesday, March 16, 2011, 4-7 pm – So Portland

Saturday, March 26, 2011, 9 am – 12 pm – Bangor
