Two More Public School Employee (PSE) Health Insurance Bills Filed

HB 1224 by Rep. Harrelson equalizes the health insurance contributions for retired PSE's with that of retired state employees.

HB 1283 by Rep. Cook is an appropriation bill that sets forth $15,865,934 for PSE insurance. Neither bill actually provides funding.

AEA anticipates that there will be additional bills filed that concern PSE and retire PSE health insurance contributions as lawmakers try to solve the problems of both groups. As circumstances and information changes, AEA will keep you informed on those measures that most effectively meet our concerns.
