| LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT | | On the Road By Allan E. Goodman Welcome to the Institute's new monthly newsletter. I've just returned from Doha, Qatar. I had the opportunity to learn more about the many groundbreaking initiatives that the Qatar Foundation and others have launched (see Op-ed) that are helping to build knowledge and create interdisciplinary research cultures of benefits to the region and the world. Last year, the Institute played a leading role as a partner with the Qatar Foundation on the World Innovation Summit for Education, which brought together over 1,000 influential leaders representing governments, businesses, civil society, university and other educational institutions from around the world. I encourage you to read more about this important initiative at www.wise-qatar.org I am especially pleased to announce the launch of IIE's new website. Please take a moment to visit us at www.iie.org. | | Resources for You: Sponsors & Partners > Scholars, Faculty & Administrators > Working Professionals & Teachers > Alumni > Students > | | IIE Bookstore Must-have books on international education policy, grants and fellowships, and statistics on academic mobility. > |
