LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Thank You for Your Support
By Allan E. Goodman

We at IIE are deeply grateful to the donors and volunteers who support the Institute's work with their time and talent as well as their financial contributions. The news items in this issue highlight some of these extraordinary individuals. I would also like to thank the event co-chairs and everyone who took a ticket or a table or made a gift to help make our 2011 Gala such a success.

In these turbulent times, no organization can take this kind of support for granted. At the same time, it is increasingly clear that the Institute's mission is more important than ever before.

We are constantly working:

  • to make international a part of what it means to become educated;
  • to keep America's academic doors open to the world; and
  • to help students and scholars in emergencies.

Our sincere thanks to all those who have played a role in these efforts.
