LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Invitation to Nominate
By Allan E. Goodman

We are pleased to invite you to nominate a national leader or public official for the 2011 Henry Kaufman Prize.

Created by the Institute’s Board of Trustees in honor of the 90th Anniversary of the Institute’s founding, the Prize recognizes Dr. Henry Kaufman, IIE’s Chairman Emeritus, for over 25 years of outstanding service as a Trustee of the Institute.

Under Henry Kaufman’s leadership, IIE has expanded its work to more countries and launched a number of new initiatives, such as the Scholar Rescue Fund, which provides fellowships for established scholars whose lives and work are threatened in their home countries. The Kaufman Prize recognizes that international education is more critical than ever to promoting international understanding and seeks to honor those who have taken it upon themselves to promote the cause.

We hope you will take a moment to review the nomination form and either nominate a candidate for this Prize, or forward this message to someone who would be able to do so.
